Disassemble of firearm as noted 1-4 is required

4. Remove Beaver tail / Grip safety
This will allow for complete access to the sear/disconnect in order to install the new sear spring and housing, upon assembly be sure to place the new sear spring correctly in the grip ,locating slot and on the sear and disconnect correctly.
1. Install the new MBX sear spring correctly in firearm be sure the spring is on the sear CORRECTLY and in the grip location slot
2. Make sure during assembly the 2 MBX adjusting screws are not protruding any more than the thickness of a plastic credit card or less from the housing then install the main spring housing
3. Set the main spring housing in the frame Aline the hammer strut into the housing and cup and temporally install your main spring housing with retaining Pin or small retaining screwdriver
4. Adjust the set screws in clock wise 1/2 to 1 1/2 turns this should be enough to allow the hammer to engage the sear and lock back now you can test and install the slide
5. The hammer and sear should now be working check by re attaching the slide
6. Be sure weapon is Not Loaded and dry fire trigger, if function is good you are ready to tune the trigger and reassemble the grip safety.
7. Note once initial function is established remove the slide again, with the hammer down You can remove the guns main spring retaining pin and slide down the main spring housing just enough to get beaver tail and then the safety back into position
8. Once the MBX unit has been install and confirmed the sear spring is connected correctly to the fire control parts installed the beaver tail and thumb safety confirm function and then install slide you are ready to tune you trigger
9. Looking from the rear the set screw to the
LEFT applies pressure to the sear this aids in keeping the sear engaged at All times and preventing any hammer from “falling” so be sure to adjust this until you hear an audible click of the sear engagement we recommend small adjustments 1/8- 1/4 turns at a time
10. The adjustment on the
RIGHT is for the disconnect and trigger return / forward reset , you will need to adjust this with enough force to engage the disconnect up in order for the trigger to work and hammer to reset 1/4 turns to start and get function then 1/8-1/4 to tune
11. Once the trigger is working correctly you can start to tune to you liking also keep in mind the geometry of your hammer and sear can effect the results and safety be sure the hammer is remaining in position we can recommend EGW hammers and sears to give you the ultimate performance and clean break
Note: The 2 # 5-40 adjustment screws
SHOULD NOT be removed from the housing they must remain in position as they have retaining tension screws with silicon gasket set at the factory and removal with void warranty
